Another season of The Ultimate Fighter has led to another on set brawl.
At Friday’s UFC “Unstoppable” press conference in Las Vegas a heated staredown between Joanna Jedzrejczyk and Claudia Gadelha nearly turned to blows. According to Dana White this was the first time.
The UFC women’s strawweight champion, Jedrzejczyk and Gadelha got into a brawl after filming of The Ultimate Fighter 23, Dana White said at Friday’s EA Sports UFC 2 launch party.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha , on the last day of filming when everything was shut down, got into a full-blown fist fight. Head Kicks. Nasty Fight in the Ultimate Fighter gym.
The show is over, the cameras were put away. The sad and scary part was very few people were left in the gym. The last day of the Ultimate Fighter is almost like the last day of school. Everybody is signing each other’s stuff and all this other stuff.
Things turned from volatile to violent in the blink of an eye as during the last faceoff, Gadelha interrupted the champion saying, “Shut the f*ck up, b*tch. I’m so sick of your mouth.” A while later Joanna threw a water bottle at Claudia and that was the start of the fight. The altercation will not be aired as there were no cameras rolling but according to Dana the season was intense.
The bad blood between the two ladies dates back to December 2014 where they fought in a back and forth war. Joanna won a very close split decision and as expected Gadelha wasn’t happy. In the time since, the two have made their respective feelings known in interviews and on social media.
While things turned physical after the cameras were away the world will see them duke it again, this time it will be shown on live TV at the TUF 23 finale on July 8.
