Its off. Its on. No its back off. Dana White on Conor McGregor’s UFC 200 future.
Early on Monday UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor took to his twitter and yet again blew the MMA world up. According to the Irish superstar he is back on UFC 200 and will indeed be facing Nate McGregor in the nights main event.
Happy to announce that I am BACK on UFC 200! Shout out to @Danawhite and @lorenzofertitta on getting this one done for the fans. #Respect
Well, according to promotional president Dana White this is “not true” and McGregor is not going to be fighting at UFC 200 as he stated last week during a press conference. Talking with the Times White also stated that they have not spoken to any of team McGregor since Friday’s UFC 200 conference.
We haven’t talked to Conor or his manager since the press conference on Friday. I don’t know why he would tweet that.
This situation needs to be rectified as soon as possible. Both Diaz and McGregor are training as if the fight is still on. Dana and Conor need to hug it out and get back to doing what is right for business. Having Diaz vs. McGregor II as UFC 200’s main event. That’s what is best for business.
